Photo Exhibition ‘A photo... a moment for eternity!’

This summer, we are hosting a black-and-white photography exhibition by Gilles Christ entitled ‘A photo... a moment for eternity!’

You will find views of Paris and photographs taken around Annecy.

 

For Gilles Christ, "A photo cannot be limited to being a beautiful image; its purpose is to tell a story, to recount a fact or an event. It is a testimony to the Moment—the moment of emotion, of memory, of happiness, of a smile, and of so many other feelings of Life. It is an invitation to the imagination, to sharing with the photographer the moment he has chosen to capture... A moment ‘before’ and it’s too early, a moment ‘after’ and it’s too late... In both cases, it tells us nothing, or at least not what we wanted it to say. Before, it is a blank page to be filled, a story to be written. After, ‘it is the Moment... forever! ”
