To mark the start of the new academic year, we are hosting an exhibition of portraits of women.
"Using photography as a means of connection, I was invited to share my perspective on women in exile whom Lake Aid actively supports. Before each session, we took time to talk and get to know one another. I am deeply grateful to all these truly endearing individuals who allowed themselves to be photographed with sincerity – through tears, laughter and moments of silence. I hope I have done justice to each of them by exhibiting their portraits, conveying a sense of nostalgia and hope in the face of so many separations."
